    Frequently Asked Questions

  • I need some technical support. How can I get help?

  • Two ways: E-mail or by phone at 800-994-0382. Generally, calls and emails are returned the same day. We're happy to help, but please review the answers below first to see if your question has already been answered.

  • How do I unlock ChordPlayer?

  • First purchase the unlock code. Please print out a copy of the email containing the unlock information, and put it somewhere useful; a surprisingly large number of our technical support requests are from users who lost their unlock information. Next, run the demo you downloaded. On the splash screen that appears, enter the unlock information, exactly as shown, including capitalization. Click "Unlock", and it's done.

  • Hey! I'm a registered user. ChordPlayer was running fine, completely unlocked, and now it's suddenly locked again.

  • Did you change the network name of your computer under the Network:Identification:Computer Name control panel tab? ChordPlayer uses this information to verify the registration information. You need to re-unlock ChordPlayer (you DID save the unlock key and username, right?) and this will not happen again unless you change the computer name.

Did you reinstall Windows? The ChordPlayer preferences, saved in the Windows Registry, may have been lost. Dig out that unlock key and user name (you DID save it, right?) and re-unlock.

  • I have a computer at my house, and another at the church, and my worship leader also uses a home computer for preparing worship. Do I REALLY need to buy three copies of ChordPlayer to feel honest?

  • Nope! Read the license agreement carefully. Roughly stated, it specifically gives you permission to simultaneously use a registered copy of ChordPlayer on up to three computers, PROVIDED they are all used by members of the same church.

  • I have a great new feature to suggest...

  • These and many more features are candidates for the next version of ChordPlayer. Got any other great suggestions? Let us know and we'll add them to the list.
